Day Fifty-Seven: Los Angeles,CA

Today was a drive day out to California. I am beyond excited that tomorrow Walt and I will be inside Harry Potter at Universal Studios. I still want to go out to Orlando but doing this little taste has been worth the wait.

Day Fifty-Five and Fifty-Six: Mesquite,NV

A drive day and then a complete lazy day. Went to a local casino for dinner and some gambling. Stayed at the amazing resort that we stayed at last year. Such a spacious suite and one that I would be willing to go back to and stay a week.

Day Fifty-Three - Fifty-Four: Moab,UT

Canyonland hiking for Walt`s 72nd birthday. Ziplining with a bunch of strangers. I`d say Moab was another successful stop.

Day Fifty-One and Fifty-Two: Blackfoot,ID and Moab,UT

Just a generic drive day for both days. Getting ready for some great adventures in Moab.

Day Fifty: Missoula,MT

The plan was to leave Browning and drive through Glacier. Sadly just like last year the road in was not open yet. We had to backtrack an hour back to Browning and get on the highway. Was a little disappointing but it happens. Can`t control the weather.

W did take a picture by the sign. Maybe next year we will finally get to drive through Glacier.

Day Forty-Four: Toronto,ON,CA

We went to The CN Tower as well as the Ripley`s Aquarium. I also was able to take Walt to Nando`s. A restaurant that Michael introduced me to last year in Canada.
Enjoy the dazzling views, the beautiful posing seahorse and underwater life.

Day Forty-Two: Lincoln,NH

Today was just a drive day. Not much to report on.

Day Forty and Forty-One: Bar Harbor,MA

Bar Harbor also included Acadia National Park. We drove all around exploring the park. It was so beautiful. Got our feet wet and rode around on the Rockefeller Carriage trails.

Theres just a lot of photos today. I couldnt just choose three.
The carriage ride around Bar Harbor was also a blast.
This is a place I would love to come back to and spend a few days at.

Walt finally got the lobster he has been holding out for.

Ashley

Day Forty-Three: Cornwall, Ontario, Canada

Today when leaving Lincoln,NH we drove to Montpelier to The Morse Farm Maple Sugarworks.
We bought several items including a cookbook using maple syrup. I`m super excited to try out some of the recipes.

Day Thirty-Five to Day Thirty-Eight: Boston,MA

Boston had some pour weather and people with bad attitudes.
On our first we explored all over Boston. Saw Paul Revere`s house as well as the Old North Church where the lanterns were hung.

The second day we went where the Tea Party happened and Walt got to dump tea into the harbor. Tried some delicious tea while trying to stay warm and dry from the rain. We also went to the aquarium where I spent at least 2 hours playing with sting rays.

The next day was slightly better and we were able to see the USS Constitution. The weather was on our side for the last day so that was nice. I also was able to climb 294 steps inside the Bunker Hill monument. That was a work out.

Day Thirty to Day Thirty-Four: New York City, NY aka Book Expo

Here is the link to view Book Expo related photos and activity. This year I was an onsite correspondent for armchair book expo. I went live over on their Facebook page as well as did a write up of my experience while there.

Walt and I spent one day walking to see the Balto Statue in Central Park. After that we had dinner at Tavern on the Green. It was a very fancy place but had tasty food. We then left to see Aladdin on Broadway. It was both Walt and Mine`s first time seeing a Broadway performance. I loved it and all the flashy costumes. Walt had never seen the Disney Aladdin so for just seeing it with nothing to compare it to he enjoyed it.

I would say NYC was a success and I hope to go back next year to do a few more stops besides the expo.

Day Twenty-Six to Twenty-Eight: Philadelphia,PA

Philly was a busy three days. Not as much walking as New Orleans but it totally felt like it. Saw the Liberty Bell, Constitution Hall, The U.S. Mint and the surrounding area. We also killed a little time doing an hour tour via carriage which really helped give me an idea to lay out the rest of our visit.
Enjoy the montage of photos.

Day Twenty-Nine: Bethlehem,PA

This was a recommended stop by my friend Tanner who i met last year while in Moab,UT
This was such an adorable town and I`m glad we stopped. The weather was a little drizzly so didn't get to walk around much when we got there.

For dinner we found a place called The Melting Pot which is fondue. This was such a fun experience.
After dinner the weather let up a little so I walked around the Historic Bethlehem Hotel where we were staying.

The next morning Walt and I made appointments to get hot stone massages. This was my first time and oh my goodness was it amazing. So relaxing and worth it after the miles we had already walked on this trip.

On the way to NYC after the massages we stopped at Lost River Caverns and did the little tour they offer. Was a very beautiful 1.3mi walk around the caverns.

We also stopped at a Crayola Experience and battled children to make our own crayon designs. I love that Walt is always up for an adventure no matter the age level.

We have officially finished driving the amazing stretch of road called The Blue Ridge Parkway. Thankfully we had good weather today so got to check out the mountain living along the road.
Tomorrow we are off to Philly for memorial weekend.

TTFN,

Day Twenty-Four: Floyd,VA

Yesterday was more driving along the Blue Ridge Parkway. I did hike a mile out to see a waterfall even though it was pouring rain. Other than that no photos sadly.
