Day Thirty-Eight: HOME

Walt and I made it home safe and sound. The drive alright but a little slow.

Happy to be home even if it means organizing souviners.

Adding 9 new shot glasses to the collection.

Now to plan our next big trip. Although this year there might be a few more adventures up our sleeves.

Day Thirty-Seven: Klamath Falls,OR

Today we went to Crater Lake.
I have been to been there once before but I was pretty young.

I don't think I could ever tire of nature.

TTFN,
Ashley

Day Thirty-Six: Roseburg,OR

We spent from 11am-430/5pm hanging out and the Safari Wildlife Park.

This was an awesome day and a pretty cool way to end our last few days.
After walking around we jumped in the car to do the drive thru part. The weather was a little warm so not everyone wanted to come out.

Tomorrow is the last adventure day. Will be home Sunday afternoon. So crazy that the trip is almost let.

TTFN,
Ashley

Day Thirty-Five: Winston,OR

We took off early to make it to the Sea Lion Caves early. The weather was pretty bad but in the cave there were about 15 sea lions relaxing on a rock.

After Sea Lions we tried to find a lighthouse but sadly we got a little turned around. However found an awesome lookout area to adventure.

Found a place to have some clam chowder and play pool. Then we took off to our hotel.

Tomorrow should be a fun day with a Safari Drive-Thru

Today was a ton of fun. Hung out with some pretty chill seals and sea lions
Got to watch some Pelicans have attitudes.

Then I got up close and personal with some adorable otters. (Read that as held my ground so little kids wouldnt push me from the front)

Tomorrow we are off to Coos Bay to expire the Sea Lion caves,Lighthouse and some tidal pools. Yay for West Coast Adventures.

Ashley

This is a Red Snapper and a Wild Ashark

Day Thirty-Two and Thirty-Three Kalspey,MT & Moscow,ID

Both days were drive days so not much to write home about. We crossed over to the US super easy. On the final stretch home so that's fun. Still tons of attractions to see in the following posts. :)

Day Thirty-One Pincher Creek,Alberta,Canada

Today was just a drive day. Easy drive of 300miles with pretty much no traffic. Walt has discovered Tim Hortons so we did have to stop for a few doughnuts.

There is bad news... Next we were going to drive through Glacier National Park back in Montana however the roads are closed. The plan is now to just cross the border (after customs check) and then drive the 150miles to hotel.

I'm a little disappointed but Walt and I came up with a plan of attack next year to include Glacier on our way home next years trip. It will be in June so the roads will all be open and we can enjoy it all. (I'm also convincing him that Calgary here in Alberta should be added to our list)

TTFN,
Ashley

Day Twenty-Seven- Day Thirty Edmonton,Alberta,Canada

For the past week Walt and I hung out in the Largest Mall in North America. We walked around both levels as well as checked out the amusement rides they had. There was also a water park but sadly no swimsuits.

Canada has been pretty laid back. I'm no longer sick so that's a bonus. People are nice here and I can't complain too much about the else weather.
We didn't take a lot of
Pictures while in the mall but imagine two super long hallways and double it. Some with attractions. The rides weren't as good as Mall of America but I did survive so that's a bonus.

Next we are off to Pincher Creek,Alberta,Canada as a drive day. The last day in Canada.

Day Twenty-Six: Brandon,MB,CA

We have arrived in the Motherland. (No not Russia) Canada.

Took about a twenty minute wait to get over the border. Walt made sure to get my passport stamped so that was cool.

Today was just a drive day as is tomorrow. Walt has me loaded up on meds to try to make me stop hacking. I want to smack the kid that kept coughing on me while in MN.

TTFN,
Ashley

Day Twenty-Five: Grand Forks,ND

We off headed towards Edmonton. This is the last stop before we cross into Canada. I'm super excited even if I am sick.
Oh on the last day at the Mall of America I got my hair done. Since today was just a small drive day enjoy my selfie. Hehe

TTFN,
Ashley

Day Nineteen to Day Twenty-Four: Bloomington,MN aka Mall of America

Walt and I have spent the last few days wandering around Mall of America. The largest mall in the US. Four floors of stores and restaraunts. The cool part though was the Nickeloden Adventure Park. It took 6x on the roller coaster for me to open my eyes and enjoy the ride. Overall a successful trip but sadly I ended up sick. :/
Enjoy some of our Mall Selfies and some other attractions.

Ashley

Day Twelve Thru Day Eighteen Chicago,IL

So we left St. Louis to head for Chicago.

This entire week was dedicated to Book Expo America. I'll be doing an entire BEA Wrap-Up on my book blog next month so look out for that there.

Heres some photos from The Expo
Jay Kristoff was amazing to meet and I can't wait to Read both Illuminae and Geminae.

Last year there was 15-20 people that attended Blogger Dinner this year however over 40 people were there. Was an awesome way to end the week.

Finally met my favorite Booktuber Lat from Katytastic

Spent a majority of my time hanging with these lovely ladies.
Preview of some of the books I'll be reading and reviewing the next few months.

After the Expo was over Walt and I spent two days doing tourist things.

Went to the Museum of Science and Industry on Saturday. On Sunday we went to the Field Museum and the Navy Pier. We also enjoyed some deep dish pizza and tasty local donuts.

Now onto Wisconsin for a drive day and then Mall of America for a few days.

Ashley

Day Eleven: St. Louis

Today we walked the mile to wait in line to up in the Gateway Arch. The weather was a little misty but not bad at all.

Because I'm a cripple we were able to take the closest tram so slightly less stairs. Guess there's some benefit of having an injured knee.

The view of the city of St Louisiana on one side of the arch.

On the other side you've got te Mississippi River.  Walt was a little nervous looking out over the edge through the window. I was more nervous on the 4min rose up the team. We were packed in 5 people per cart.

After finishing up our morning at the arch we went to the old courthouse to admire the architecture and watch how the arch was built.
Then we had lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe near our hotel.  Successful day overall minus the afternoon of a killer cab driver. Missouri Stops are worse than California Stops. :/
Tomorrow we are off to Chicago to start our adventure of Book Wxpo America. I'll link up the next 3 days of our trip to my book blog since that's where BEA updates will be. This weekend will be tourist days as well.

TTFN,
Ashley

Day Nine & Ten: Junction City,KS to St. Louis,MO

Day Eight:
We left Limon and drove nearly 6 hours to get to Junction City,Kansas. Was just a drive day.

Day Nine: St. Louis, Missouri
We left Junction City and headed start to St Louis. We made pretty good timing.

We are staying at the old Union Station. It's actually a historical site. Every thirty minutes they do a light show on the ceiling of the main floor. Our hotel is a complete maze so I feel like leaving bread crumbs. Hehe

Tomorrow we are off to ride up into the arch. This is something I've wanted to do for quiet a while thanks to my nana. Before she passed away she came here with my papa and did the same thing I'm about to do. So as I'm hiking my skinny butt up those 96 stairs I know she's with me.

Look forward to pictures in next post :)

Ashley
